About This Business

The Friends South Western Burial Ground, Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, was opened in 1860 and is intended for the simple burial of Quakers and others .The Burial Ground is about 17 acres in size and just one Street outside the City of Philadelphia to the west.
Wishing to be environmentally aware, Friends welcome requests to arrange natural or "Green" burials, ones that omit use of concrete grave liners and use biodegradable coffins or shrouds.
The public is welcome to visit the burial ground for a peaceful walk among the many beautiful trees and shrubs. Lots are available for sale. See
